Crust:
½ cup sugar
12 tablespoons butter, softened
1 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
Filling:
1 jar Fig Spread
Topping:
2/3 cup rolled oats
¼ cup sliced almonds
2/3 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter, softened
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl, mix together butter and sugar. Mix in the remaining crust ingredients and press into the bottom of a 9-inch baking dish.
Spread Fig Spread in an even layer over the top of the crust avoiding the sides of the pan.
Use your hands to combine topping ingredients until a crumble is formed. Sprinkle in an even layer on top of the jam.
Bake for 45 minutes or until topping is golden. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
