2 prepared pie doughs (top and bottom crust)
2 tablespoons butter, divided
5 pears, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 1/2 tablespoons Chai Tea Mix
3 tablespoons sugar
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon Chai Tea Mix
Preheat oven to 400°F. Transfer rolled out pie crust to pie pan.
Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add pears, 1 1/2 tablespoons Chai Tea Mix, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Sauté until pears are softened, about 5 minutes. Transfer pears to pie dish.
Top pie with the second rolled out pie dough. Crimp edges of pie as desired. Cut a few slits in the center of the pie to allow steam to vent.
Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and brush over the top of the pie. Sprinkle with remaining 1 teaspoon of Chai Tea Mix.
Bake pie at 400°F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°F and bake another 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
Cool pie for 1 hour before serving.
